barangan rumah

Imagine being in a house in a Malaysian countryside. What do you see? A well-seasoned broom sitting in a corner. Rattan-made items littered around the house and lining the walls. The fragrant scent of a dish being prepared and the faint sizzling of garlic in a pan. Homemade dishes sitting under a food cover, waiting for a family to come home.

Barangan rumah, meaning household goods in Malay, is not only a collection of whimsical conceptualized handbags and accessories. Being a brand founded and grown in Malaysia, it is only fitting that the first fully fledged Ryan Lee collection starts off as a representation of day-to-day Malaysian culture, as an ode to home. because at the end of the day, Ryan Lee Kuala Lumpur is a Malaysian brand, through and through.

At the moment, there are three bags in the lineup; consisting of the Penyapu, Ikan, and Lampu bags. The Barangan rumah line explores more experimental designs and concepts, and is also responsible for challenging the capabilities and limits of the brand’s crafting abilities.
