The Tingkap is an exploration of the diamond quartet logo, reimagined to take the form of a window; or “Tingkap”, in Malay. This is the first iteration of the Tingkap line; with the clasp of the bag being completely crafted out of leather.
The crafting process involves 4 layers of leather that are stacked on top of each other, finished, and then nailed onto a base, which will be stitched onto the bag. the crafting of this alone can take up to 6 hours, and is the most painstaking part of the bag to produce, but is also a symbol of the capabilities of Ryan Lee craftsmanship. The closure is held together by four magnets on the flap and on the base of the clasp.
This is the original iteration of the Tingkap, and is made in a grained German calfskin. The versatility of strap allows its user to wear it crossbody or over the shoulder at four different lengths and handheld at two different lengths.
